Good afternoon all,
I’d like to ask a favor of all of you to help us adequately assist our area business owners in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Obviously many small businesses have been put in a situation where in they have to shutter their businesses until adequate time has passed for business to resume. In the interim our concern, as well as the owners’ concern, is that the business locations may be vulnerable to burglaries and theft. Please send a notice out to all of your contacts to have any area business owners email me here at the precinct and provide updated contact info for emergency contacts for any area business so that we may be able to reach them in the event of any incidents at their business locations.
Additionally, there is a growing concern about the possibility of increasing mail thefts with the coming tax refunds being mailed out - as well as any possible stimulus checks. Please remind your contacts to keep a close eye out for any suspicious activity related to subjects looking in mail boxes in your areas. In the event you are in a field of work that precludes you from being home to get mail once delivered – we suggest that direct deposit options be utilized or have mail forwarded to a PO box etc.
