IMPORTANT COMMUNITY MEETING
WE NEED YOUR INPUT and PRESENCE
Topic: The Renovation of the Historic Vineyard Church (Tulip Street Church) into an Event Venue and Hotel
Meeting Date: Wednesday March 9th
Time: 6:30-8pm
Location: Nashville Vineyard Church Sanctuary (Tulip Street Church)
522 Russell Street
Hosts: Councilman Brett Withers and Historic Edgefield Neighbors (HEN)
Owner & Developer: Micah Lacher, (also owner of the Russell Hotel), will share his plans for the church building which will be an event venue, and the building next door which will be a 20 room hotel.
Micah will answer your questions and address concerns.
The Landmark Status application for the church goes before the Metro Planning Commission for approval (save the date) on March 24th, which will determine the use of the buildings. Please plan to attend our input has value and this is the time to ask for limits and restrictions on the scope of the project. The Neighborhood association needs you (especially immediate neighbors) to share your concerns and requests. You will drive the resulting project and how if affects you.
It is very important for immediate neighbors to share their concerns and questions with the owner, councilman and Planning Commission. The impact of a large event venue and 20 room hotel will impact neighbors and we have a chance to ask for what we need to keep the integrity of our neighborhood.

Subject: VERY IMPORTANT MEETING- WEDNESDAY MARCH 9TH 6:30PM Tulip Street Church Development
Kelly and Pete,
Wouldn’t it be appropriate to share with prospective attendees our work and meeting notes with Micah (the proposed operator) regarding the noncompliance by this hotel operator on his EXISTING hotel operation on Russell St and the issues it is causing immediate neighbors?
Apologies if the Powerpoint and meeting notes have already been distributed and I missed it. I just want to ensure ALL residents have the benefit of the development team’s good work.
Emily
