Subject: Meeting RE: Historic Preservation in Midtown TODAY from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

The Metro Planning Department and Metro Historical Commission will be hosting a community meeting TODAY at the Metro Parks offices (2565 Park Plaza) from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Thursday, March 7th.  If you are interested in historic buildings in Midtown being preserved and new development reflecting the historic context, this an important meeting to attend.

If the community does not get involved, I anticipate that the rezoning of a major portion of Midown will move forward without protections for individually National Register Eligible/National Register Listed buildings and design guidelines will not be included for the area around Elliston Place.

Thank you,

Jason Holleman
