From Todd Breyer
I have some disappointing news to share. I left early this morning for job sites and got back this afternoon around 4:30 to find that my two antique cast iron urns had been brazenly stolen from right off the front porch. They also took my concrete columns and shell finials on the side near the garage. These are all heavy items so it would likely have had to be at least two men. There have been a number of reports on NextDoor as of late saying people have grabbed things from yards like mowers, furniture and trailers around the neighborhood. Now it's on our street. Just wanted you to be aware so you could keep a lookout and maybe bring in portable items for awhile if you have any concern.
It is possible that it happened overnight, though that is right outside my bedroom window, and I was only sleeping from midnight to 5:30AM. And I'm pretty sure I looked at them this morning as I had planted my summer begonias just on Sunday. You are welcome to let other neighbors know if that is helpful in some way.
I have already filed a police report via phone, but the inspector did not come out today. We do have shoe prints in the mud, though I expect there isn't much they can really do.
Best,
Todd
