Ms. McCaig,
I would like to express my opposition to the
proposed rezoning request for the market at 46th and Utah.
The neighborhood has consistently opposed any commercial
expansion along 46th Ave. and Murphy Road. The current CN zoning
already allows for sufficient development of services for the
neighborhood. Any increased zoning will simply put more pressure on
the neighborhood from traffic and parking.
During the last two subarea reviews, the Sylvan Park
community very explicitly expressed strong that they didn't want to see
increased commercial zoning at this location. So I believe this
request is inconsistent with the current sub-area plan.
The proper area for development of this intensity is along the Charlotte
Ave. corridor which is in need of such development. This property should
remain CN.
I would ask that my comments be made part of the record and given to the
members of the Planning Commission.
Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
