We have received a lot of questions regarding how many of you can
reach out to your networks and help us raise money and materials for
our work in New Orleans. For those who have helped us in this regard
already, thank you! We appreciate your efforts in helping us tap into
your networks for donations.

Please take a moment to ponder who we might be able to approach in
your network. Everyone knows somebody and we’d like to explore all
opportunities. We are developing a framework for coordinating this
effort organization-wide. Our intent is empower the Historic Green
network to make ‘asks’ on behalf of the organization, while giving it
enough structure to help us avoid pitfalls like asking a single party
multiple times.

Thus, we have created the short instructions below to help facilitate
the process. By following these simple steps, you will help our
sponsorship team track our ‘asks’; and in turn, our sponsorship team
will be able to provide you with support material and other
assistance.

• ALL DONATIONS: Please be sure to tell any potential donor that
Historic Green is a registered non- profit and that any contributions
are tax-deductible under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue
Code.

• SMALL MONETARY DONATIONS: Please direct the potential donor to our
website at www.historicgreen.org. There is a ‘Donate Today’ button
that the donor can use. It’s easy, simple and fast.

• LARGE MONETARY DONATIONS: If you know of donors that may be willing
to contribute particularly large monetary contributions (of $5000 or
more), please contact Amy King. She can be reached at
spo...@historicgreen.org.

• MATERIAL AND IN-KIND DONATIONS: If you know of potential donors that
you would like to approach about materials or in-kind donations,
please contact Heather Hardman at spo...@historicgreen.org.

Thanks for your help! Looking forward to a successful Spring Greening!
