Netflix careers span a wide range of roles: engineering, marketing, content, facilities, finance, legal, customer service, business development, productive creative, and more. The company started as the first online DVD rental store globally with only about 925 titles and 30 employees in 1998.

By 2000, there were 300,000 subscribers, and the company was using the USPS to deliver and retrieve its rental DVDs. At that time, it was losing money, though, and made an offer to Blockbuster to sell for $50 million. This offer was turned down. Fortunately, around 2002, Apple experienced a surge in laptop sales, which increased demand for video content, and Netflix enjoyed a boost as well.

Netflix interviews for experienced professionals have 7-10 rounds for non-tech roles and 5 rounds for tech roles (Netflix interview process)with a mix of situational, behavioral, and hypothetical. Each interviewer had a different style and asked similar questions differently. (Netflix Interview Process [Non Tech])

From a user-generated poll, nearly 50% of candidates who failed the interview for Netflix jobs agree that the interview is easy, while 20% of them would love to try another time after the freeze period. (Netflix Interview)

Netflix taggers are paid to categorize different movies and shows on Netflix to help organize content on the platform. It's essentially a content analyst and editorial role in which you help organize content on Netflix to make it easier for viewers to find what they're looking for.

A large part of this job involves using keywords and metadata to group similar content. So, while you're getting paid to review and watch movies or shows, it's also a role that involves using a lot of data to make a better product for viewers.

Taggers might also check to see if content has the right age rating. In some cases, Netflix taggers also help write descriptions for movies and shows to help Netflix's internal search engine show the right content when viewers search for a type of content.

The only way to become an official Netflix tagger is to apply directly with Netflix. This entertainment powerhouse only posts their open positions on their website under careers at jobs.netflix.com. If you see postings elsewhere online, the listing is probably a scam.

Netflix tagger positions can be listed as a tagger, and may also be listed under other titles such as a data analyst or a content analyst. Tagger positions are often formally listed as an editorial Insights Content Analyst.

In addition to having the required skills and completing the Netflix tagger application, applicants may be required to pass assessment testing as part of the interview process. These assessments will help determine if you are able to appropriately tag the content as needed for this position.

Netflix tagger jobs are legit remote work from home positions that involve working directly for Netflix. However, this job requires much more than just watching movies all day. In reality, it's a data-driven role that requires previous experience in content organization and editing.

Also remember: Netflix taggers are hired by Netflix directly. If you see job postings on another website, it could be a scam. Also never pay to apply to this job as Netflix doesn't require applications to pay.

However, due to a small number of positions and a high number of applicants, these positions are extremely competitive and can be difficult to land. So, don't count on becoming a Netflix tagger right away and making thousands of dollars.
