What default DOB are you using?

What date of birth are you using in STAR when the patient’s DOB is unknown?

We have been using 01/01/1850 over the years and now find the need to change it since some ICD10 coding is  age specific and when the patient’s DOB is unknown this can be an issue.

We have been using 01/01/1900 at both of our hospitals and ambulatory.  We are utilizing the same Passport System so we wanted it to be consistent.
