We are looking for an experienced DB2 DBA with strong expertise in managing DB2 databases and licensing (Passport Advantage). The candidate will be responsible for database administration, performance tuning, and ensuring high availability in enterprise environments, particularly on AIX/UNIX/Linux platforms.

Minimum Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with DB2 Databases
• 8+ years of experience with DB2 licensing / Passport Advantage
• 2+ years of experience working on AIX/UNIX/Linux platforms
• 2+ years of experience in Shell scripting/programming

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working with DB2 on AIX environments
• Strong understanding of DB2 architecture and database design
• Experience with DB2 performance tuning and query optimization
• Knowledge of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
• Familiarity with high availability solutions (HADR, replication)

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain DB2 database environments
• Manage DB2 licensing using Passport Advantage
• Monitor and optimize database performance, including SQL tuning
• Perform database backups, recovery, and disaster recovery planning
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues across environments
• Support DB2 databases on AIX/UNIX/Linux platforms
• Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation and maintenance tasks
• Collaborate with application teams for database support and improvements

Technical Skills

• IBM DB2 (LUW preferred)
• AIX / UNIX / Linux operating systems
• Shell scripting (Bash/Korn)
• SQL and database performance tuning
