Package deals for industry specific sites

Hi All,
I've already gotten some really helpful feedback about this
individually from others in the group but I thought I'd put this out
to the group anyway to see if anyone else had feedback or experience.
My cousin is thinking about using one of those industry-specific
services that offer a monthly fee to give you a website and some other
services. For his industry (broker), it's www.norvax.com. From an SEO
perspective, do you recommend using these kinds of services/package
deals? I've seen them for the photo and chiropractic industries and
they seem to have the tools they need but don't know much about them
SEO-wise and just all-around-wise.

How much is it?
What exactly does it involve?
If you quit, do you lose your site/rankings/ppc?
