When you type into google site:www.yourwebsite.com and your sites pages are listed; by what criteria are the pages listed?

Why is Google placing the pages on anyone's website in the order they
are place them. Thanks!

Good question. I believe they rank them using their algo. For
example, you can type in...

site:hippoimt.com taking clients

and you will get my "Taking Clients" page over the home page. Why?

Because of all my pages, that ones is best suited for that phrase.

With no phrase added, it will likely put your home page first, then
primarily use PageRank to determine the rest.

I have not tested it. What are you seeing?
