How to register our custom event listener

We are trying to send a mail whenever a publish request for a document is generated.

We have followed the steps given on:

http://www.onehippo.org/library/concepts/workflow/workflow-events.html

 

Although the module manager confirms trying to start our daemon module ([ModuleManager.startModule:130] Starting module postpublication) but initialize method of the daemon module never gets called.

 

Are we missing any steps in between?

Some check points:

- What's your Hippo version? 10.x or 7.9.x?

- Do you have /hippo:configuration/hippo:modules/postpublication node correctly? In hipposys:module primary node type with your class name?

- Do you implement org.onehippo.repository.modules.DaemonModule interface and *@Override* #initialize(Session) method?

- Can you also try to leave sys out logging in your #initialize(Session) method temporarily in order to make sure..?
