Package site.war AS ROOT.war can't preview in Channl Manager (Hippo CMS 11.0)

Hi:

I create a new Project with Hippo maven archetype

mvn archetype:generate \ -DarchetypeGroupId=org.onehippo.cms7 \ -DarchetypeArtifactId=hippo-project-archetype \ -DarchetypeVersion=4.0.0 \ -DarchetypeRepository=http://maven.onehippo.com/maven2

I wanna to PACKAGE and DEPLOY APPLICATION AS ROOT.WAR,

So i followed: 

https://www.onehippo.org/library/development/package-the-delivery-application-as-root.war.html

https://www.onehippo.org/library/deployment/configuring/deploy-application-as-root_war.html

when cargo runs,the localhost:8080/ is work well

but when i open channel Manager in cms.

it return a HTTP status 404 error page.

and command print 

[INFO] [talledLocalContainer] 14.07.2016 12:49:41 WARN  http-nio-8080-exec-6 [ResourceServlet.getResourceURL:384] An attempt to access a protected resource at /hippo-cm/_cmsinternal was disallowed.

I try these steps in Hippo 10.2. it works well,

is there anything change in Hippo 11,or i miss change something???

Hey Ryan,

I have confirmed that indeed in 11 FCS the channel manager does not work for ROOT.war deployment. Thank you so much for reporting and apologies for the inconvenience! I have created [1] and [2] and marked them as blocker. Will be fixed asap. In the mean time, you can perhaps developer with site.war deployment (note in general we also deploy to production as site.war and use httpd in front of the application for strip the context path (/site)

Update: the ROOT.war issue in the channel manager has been fixed. The fix will be available in the 11.0 GA release.
