I am having a problem with recurring events. When I set an event, then
set the recurrance, the event doesn't always stop on the day that I've
set as the last day. It will go a day or two or three beyond where
it's supposed to stop.

Could you be a little more specific in terms of what the properties of
the recurrence are (e.g. daily, weekly, etc. - does it have a "stop
after x times" option or a "until x date" option)?

Different types of recurrences are handled differently, particularly
with regard to the frequency (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly). You may
find some recurrences work correctly while others may have bugs.

The bug that I'm experiencing, similar to this, is for weekly
recurrance. Your algorithm does not take the following scenario into
account:
A user has checked recur every Tuesday and Friday, and the date of the
last recurance was on a Tuesday. Hipcal will list the event for both
Tuesday and Friday of that last week.

The same thing happens for the beginnings of a recurance, for instance:
If I want an event to recur every Tuesday and Friday, and I select a
Friday as the first instance, Hipcal will list the event on the prior
Tuesday (of the first week) when it shouldn't.

Sorry it took me so long to reply, but I've been busy here at
Christmas! I fixed the problem that I had. I had set my Christmas
Holidays as an event to be an all day event for one day, then set a
daily repeat through January 2nd. For some reason the daily repeat
went through January 5th! I went back and took the repeat off of it,
and set the start date for December 17th and the ending date for
January 2nd. It showed up correctly when I did that.

Did you also get multiple entries for some of those days? I remeber
this happening to me earlier on, and I solved it in the same way
(making it start on Jan 6 and ending on Jan 12 rather than repearing
the full day events).

I noticed that I got some sort of "pyramid" structure, where the event
was recorded twice on the second day, thrice on the third and so on
until the end date - when the occurances decreased.
