See below email from SJSU's Suswagatam team, good preparation and planning in progress for the upcoming Fall semester Suswagatam.

Also, SJSU Hindu YUVA team has a new website which they launched recently: http://studentorgs.sjsu.edu/hinduyuva/index.html.

Great work on new website! It really looks very attractive and nice. The content (FAQ) on the website for the new incoming student is also very resourceful, extensive and well thought. http://studentorgs.sjsu.edu/hinduyuva/suswagatam/FAQsforIncomingStudents.pdf. Big OM for the SJSU team!!

Please share if any other university has also started planning for Suswagatam Fall 2016...

Hi,

As per our legacy, this year too we are going to provide free temporary accommodation and pick up from airport, to our incoming students from INDIA.

Why do we do it?

Ans - There are many students who don't have this privilege of having someone, relative or friend, staying in Bay area, to help them and provide shelter in their initial days after landing in US.

It's our responsibility to help them. 

It won't cost us much to accommodate 1 person in our apartment free of cost temporarily for 1 week period, but it will be a great great help for those students who have no idea about accommodation and transport in this foreign country. It might help them to save their initial Hotel/Motel/cab expenses.

During this temp stay, they will search for permanent accommodation and move out, with very good and positive experience of getting helped by someone on foreign land. 

So kindly register as volunteer and provide free temp accommodation to incoming fall 2016 students.

How do we do it?

Ans - We will get these forms filled up from seniors (called as volunteers) who provide free temp. accommodation. Then we also conduct the registration from incoming students, who are in need of temporary accommodation. Then depending on resources, we provide them free accommodation for a week.

NOTE: If you can't provide temporary accommodation, but you have car and valid DMV license then you can provide free pick up to incoming students from their respective landing airport (SFO/SJC).
