खेले राधा सँग कन्हाई
On Saturday, 26 March 2016, all the Hindu YUVA chapters of Bay Area united and celebrated the rebirth and rejuvenation of nature earth with the onset of spring season. Nearly 150 Yuvas (Professionals & Students) of different age groups came together and celebrated this event as the festival of colors “HOLI” at Lake Elizabeth in Fremont, California.
The whole event was very well organized and divided into three sections which were playing games, prarthna and playing with colors. Yuvas started gathering near Lake Elizabeth at 10:30 in the morning and round of exchanging greetings with YUVAs from different shakhas started. After that we all played very interesting games under the open sky, on the lush green grass and close to the nature earth. The long list of games included Volleyball, Laghori, Kho-kho, Kabaddi, tug-of-war, etc. All the YUVAs really enjoyed these games and took part with great spirit and enthusiasm. Everyone was so involved in these long forgotten games that we had to increase the time for the whole event.
Followed by activities, there was shakha where we all did dhwaj pranam and recited Vishwa Dharma Prarthana. Eventually, at last it was time to celebrate the long awaited festival of colors. Everyone celebrated holi by playing tilak holi to support California drought with Eco-friendly colors.
The event ended by offering prayers to God and Goddess at Fremont Temple. We all also enjoyed different delicacies offered at the temple. Thus, we ended the celebration of this festival at the peaks of joy and renewing relationship with nature.
Jai Hind.
