New Year Calendar for the year 2010 exquisitely printed on a high gloss art paper has arrived. While the front cover shows the aerial view of the temple with devotees in a procession, the back cover includes the picture of Sri Garuda, Sri Hanuman, Sri Viswakarma, Sri Kalabhairavar, and Navagraha devatas.
The calendar follows the panchanga published by Kauai's Hindu Monastery based on the latitude and longitude of the Twin cities. It includes the following:
1) Month (example, Pausha - Magha)
2) Star, end time (Bharani, 12.53 P)
3) Lunar day, end time (Navami, 4.55 P)
4) Regular Pooja (Poornima-Satyanarayana Pooja )
5) Special Pooja (Radha Krishna Pooja)
Care has been taken to include the picture of the deity on a month when a major festival would be celebrated. ( Ram parivar on March, Ramanavami).
The calendar is available for sale at a nominal cost of $5 from the front desk. Trustees/mini temple sponsors/ advertisers are being given the calendars free of cost.
