Our temple in collaboration with Telugu Association of Minnesota will be
organizing Sankrati - Pongal on Saturday, January 16, 2010. Elaborate day
long events ( 8 am to 4 pm) include Suprabhata Seva, Tomala Seva for Balaji
and Srinivasa ( Balaji) Kalyanam followed by sumptuous lunch and cultural
program.

Devotees are requested to join the celebrations of Sankranti - Pongal.
Makar Sankrati is one of the most auspicious days for the Hindus. It is the day when the glorious Sun - God begins his ascendency and enters into the Northern hemisphere. It is celebrated in all parts of India and is popularly known in various names as Pongal, Makar Sankranti, Lohri or Maghi.This begins the most auspicious period of "Uttarayan Punya kalam".
