According to the Vishnu Purana, observing Ekadasi vrata on Vaikunta Ekadasi day confers a benefit equivalent to observing a vrata on all the Ekadasis in the year. On this day a special door (Dwaram) 'Vaikunta Dwaram' or Gateway to Heaven that is on the north side of the temple will be opened. It is believed that, any person who passes through this `Vaikunta Dwaram' on this particular day attains salvation (moksha) and also is believed that Lord Sri Krishna preached the Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra on this day. On this day some devotees observe fasting.
All devotees are requested to visit the temple on this Vaikunta Ekadasi day.
