Dear Bandhus...Namaste.

By Eswara's Grace & Acharyas' Blessings, we are launching a Bharatanatyam Dance event on July15th at UNSW as detailed below...two top artists are coming from India, along with Hamsa Venkat's Dance troupe performing.

You're all most welcome & must attend with family & friends, but more importantly, invite you/your family to do any seva (volunteer) to help make the event a success, as all proceeds are going to support disadvantaged children of AIM for SEVA at student hostels and schools in India.

Thanks in advance,

Best Regards

Dear Friends,

Please reserve  15th July 2017 evening for a unique Bharatanatyam Dance Ballet "Yogatrayam" featuring the three aspects of Yoga namely Karma, Bhakti and Gnana by reputed artists Revathi Ramachandran & Manasvini Ramachandran from India, in collaboration with Hamsa Venkat's Samskriti School of Dance.

The event is in aid of Charity, AIM for Seva http://www.aimforseva.org educating and supporting disadvantaged children of rural India.

Karma and Gnana Yoga will be depicted by Revathi and Manasvini in a unique dance presentation themed "Laya Nirupanam". The juxtaposition of action and knowledge which is the quintessence of Advaita is brought out in this feature presentation. As Lord Nataraja, Shiva performs the acts of creation, sustenance , obscuration, destruction and bestows Grace and thus keeps the Universe in Laya or harmony, symbolising Karma Yoga. As Dakshinamurthy, the Lord of Knowledge , He transcends Karma or actions as He resolves the Universe at the time of dissolution or Pralaya .Lilting songs, chants from Chamakam, Adi Shankara’s Gurvashtakam, Thayumanavar’s Ananda Kalippu & others have been used very artistically.

This presentation of Laya Nirupanam also incorporates Suddha Nrittam, a special ancient temple dance element by Revathi & Manasvini.
