Hello All,

Our new year school registrations have been open for the last few months and the early bird discount will end next Wednesday (July 15).

The current situation is that we may not get school in September, so the online classes will continue until the school is available. As everyone knows, it takes a lot more efforts to conduct classes online, but the current situation may force us to do it for a few months. This will be safe as well as convenient for everyone. We will go back to Stamford High School as soon as we get the go ahead from the Stamford school board/City.

We need everyone's cooperation to the fullest. Our teachers have been preparing for this challenge during this summer and now they are better equipped than before. We will ensure that the students/teacher ratio is manageable and will do multiple classes in the same level, if necessary. Parents' role in successfully conducting online classes is very crucial. The following suggestions will improve online learning:

  1. Please upgrade your computer and Wi-Fi connection(I am sure it's already optimized by now.)
  2. Please limit Wi-Fi connection on other devices or prioritize the one which is used for Hindi Class
  3. You should prepare your children mentally for the online classes and prepare their desk or table 10 minutes before the class.
  4. Students should behave as they are in the classroom, rather than in their homes, during the duration of the class. This will enhance their learning process as well as their responsibilities.
  5. Students should have taken a light meal and should not disturb the class by frequently leaving for the bathroom or food.
  6. No eating or drinking should be done during the class time.
  7. Students should keep their books, pencils, pen, paper, etc. on their desk.
  8. Students will get marks every week for their behavior, attendance, and homework. Marks for attendance and homework will be added in the oral marks and marks for the behavior and discipline will be added in the written marks.
  9. Apart from these, the class teacher may also add some other rules for his/her class.
  10. As you all are aware, discipline is very important in online classes and parents' role is very important in maintaining firm discipline during the classes.
I encourage parents to complete the online registration for their children if they haven't done so, so that we can start making groups for online classes. If anyone has any questions, please don't hesitate to email, or call us/or your past class teachers.

Regards
Hindi USA Volunteers
