Here is a lovely poem by Nida Fazali that makes so true comments on the journey of life. I specially like the first and the fourth stanzas. The first one shows how if we get what we desperately want from this life, it turns out to be essentially worthless. Dear Vashini ji and Vijay Uncle,

I am aware of this ghazal. I have met Jagjit Singh more than once and am fortunate enough to have heard him live more than once. Mr Singh was a valued client of our bookstore. I've visited his home in Mumbai. 

I have also heard this ghazal countless times on my Walkman. So it is not that I am unaware of this variance in the lyrics. However, I stick to the written word. That is the final authority for me. So I have followed the text given in the book.
