Subhash ji,
1. Please point me to my post where I have said that inferences are dangerous. What you have written about Mr. Shourie is false assertion and a personal bias not a logically arrived at argument. Why? Because you have no proof. Forgive me for sounding like a music CD in an infinite loop.
2. Reg. the point about journalist destroying politicians careers. Quite ironic that you say it. Isn't this what you are doing, smearing Shourie with outright lies? Of course, it goes without saying, you can't touch Shourie's or his career (he's got the smarts). What was the saying, practice before you preach....
3. Oh, and Sudheendra Kulkarni (not Sudhirendra Kulkarni, as you put it) is there on the Internet.

From the above link, he was A.B. Vajpayee's scriptwriter and an
ex-activist of the, in my humble opinion, traitorous communists.
I'm starting to think "Could this error be deliberate"?
Namaste!

Surender,
Firstly, it was precisely for the reason(not to break the flow of the
discussion) I had changed the subject line. Too bad it did not have
the desired effect. Forgive me, I am a novice in yahoo groups.
Secondly, why private e-mails, I assume any person's public response
to mean that he/she is agreeing to a public debate.
Thirdly, i agree to your rule, respect for other point of views but
never for carefully slipped in blatant lies.
Lastly, when you request the Moderators to not approve 'these'
messages, aren't you forgetting your own rule 'Let's respect every
one's views here'?
namaste!

Well Vikas, the only problem is that we tend to dwindle from the topic or from the main theme - Himachal - and end up sadly discussing RSS and fundamentalism. Well, I'm not averse to these topics but that this is not the right forum for that.
And that for us ironically generate the maximum of responses. Each time, we've initiated a debate on development, nobody comes forward. But tomorrow if I'm supposed to take up the topic - RSS, Congress, Muslim/Hindu/Sonia, everyone starts shouting at the top of his/her voice. Not that one is not allowed to But that again this is not the forum to do that.
And ironically, I do not understand why should RSS and BJP and Congress creep into every topic?
Can we not keep them out? Is it necessary that all good/bad work has to be done either by RSS or by Congress?
Why can't HimVani do it? And why can't we all aim and will and strive to make HimVani as iconic as RSS or Congress that people take pride in or blasting HimVani?
This mail goes to about 480 people as of now. But a discussion between two people when others may not be interested and deem it as spam when they've joined the forum because they are interested in Himachal related topics, hence just proves why you should reply directly, especially when you want to write to that person.
And that's why I'll have to end the discussion. From here on, I'll request all to refrain from dwindling from the topics.
I'll suggest if you want to continue the debate in a public forum, use
HimVani.com, We still have the Bali article there. You can debate it out there.
Regards,
Surender
