I put the Walt Racing stickers on my team frame. I really like the
way the bars and the wheels match with the color scheme. By the way,
I won't be taking a job in the vinyl sticker application field because
that was more difficult then I thought.

Question for the triathletes. Would there be any interest in us registering Walt's Racing as a triathlon club with USA Triathlon? More of a comraderie thing than anything else, but there are some races with team categories where they combine a certain number of times to determine a winner. If we ever get some singlets it would be a way to identify with each other on the course as well.

I would be glad to spearhead the effort if there's interest. There is a fee to register as a club, not sure how much but don't think it's too much.

Sure, but I don’t recall seeing a team category on any of the races or when I renewed my USAT membership.  Would be cool to have a and HCC or Walt’s racing singlet.  Like you for camaraderie at the races and advertising for Walt and the sponsors.

ken,
i think that would be awesome, we just really havent had much interest in triathletes in recent years. this year we have had alot more people asking about it. as far as singlets we will order them if we can get a min. order for them. last time we put it out we couldnt meet the min requirements. go for it though.

With the minimum only being 10  it shouldn’t be to hard to reach, some people may want 2 anyway… they are pretty cheap through champion systems if you check out their website you can see their prices…

Why don't we get a head count of the tri/du athletes in the HCC? I've never seen any kind of list for this subgroup of the club. I know there are some members that kind of roll their eyes at the whole tri/du thing, and that's ok, but there are quite a few that do compete in it.

ken, i dont want you to think we frown on tri. we dont. we had put out that if u wanted a uniform -a singlet let us know we have to have a min of 10. we had 5 ,  i have talked to the tresur.  john he said the artwork for the stuff is 500 dollars alone. if we get the min. order of 10 we might be able to eat the artwork but with only 5 uniforms we would have to eat the artwork and the cost of the 5 extra uniforms if we couldnt sell them by the end of the year.if u could get the tris to order two uniforms, which i think will be imposible we could order them its just so much money .

yes and we need 10 or more cause the set up fee and artwork fee is $500 for them is they dont include that that comes from the clubs expenses.

Yea I knew there was a min of 10.  Let me see who wants them and if the people that wanted them before are still interested.  Do you think it would be ok for fitz son William to get one?  Or would he be better off getting a team kit when we order again?

Wouldn’t a singlet be the same artwork as a jersey?...without sleeves?

It's not the same. I made the same argument with them and the only way we can find out how much they will charge is to pay 50% of the order and then it is a 45.00 an hour art work charge for them according to their rep. Min is 3 hours and that is if we have basically did their rough draft on line.

so far im still short. we are at 7. the set up cost and artwork for the club is $500.this comes from the club fund so the more we get the better off we are.we cant eat the cost of three uniforms we need at least three more to get them from champion - if we get them thru sugoi , they are saying we have to come up with 24 pieces, they are really giving us a hard time. our E.T.A for our club uniforms are may 1st. I so really hope that the next time we order we ditch sugoi. but this is the tri count so far.

Add another one for me. I would recommend everyone consider buying 2, that way we would be set for a while, wouldn't have to go through this same situation every year or two.

you don't think the other 3 would sell once we get them and people see them?  Kind of like how we sold out of last year's cycling uniforms?  I'm with you, I've been saying since last summer ditch sugoi after we went through the same thing we're going through now!  You could get so much more from champ-sys (or other uniform companies) for $150 than you get with sugoi.

yeah we probably could but money is tight, we have just enough to put on our race, we really have to watch our budget. when ur spending other peoples money, you really have to make sure you stretch it and use it wisely. ken felix stepped up we know have eight. need 2 more. i know we have more tris than this.

Why are we putting on this costly race anyway?  I thought doing bare bones got us crucial "good standing" that we needed?

I'd get a second singslet but i already stepped up when I got a $120 skinsuit to help meet the minimum order for those.
