Dear EBMUD Customer,

We are again preparing for a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS.) PG&E is planning to shut down power to large parts of the East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) service area starting on Saturday, October 26. Your neighborhood is included in the affected areas. Please see the map at ebmud.com/psps2019.

As per our emergency protocol, we activated our Emergency Operations Team, topped off our reservoirs and began reconnecting emergency generators and backup pumps at sites that rely on continuous power. EBMUD asks that customers in affected areas reduce water use indoors and turn off outdoor irrigation. This will help conserve water in our local reservoir tanks. EBMUD also recommends customers prepare emergency water supplies: two gallons per person per day, plus pets. More information on how to store emergency water is available on our website at Storing Emergency Water.

EBMUD will make information available as the situation develops. For updates, check ebmud.com/psps2019 and follow EBMUD @ebmud on Twitter, Nextdoor, and Facebook. Visit pge.com for the latest information about the power outage. Report any water emergencies to

EBMUD at 1-866-403-2683.

Thanks for caring about your water use,
Mona Favorite-Hill
