Respected Sir, (Kind Attn: Mr.Ashwin Naik)

This is with reference to your query raised in whatsapp regarding installation of Solar Project. Please kindly go through the attached pdf file regarding Solar Project also.

Well. I replied you in my whatsapp that I will answer your query by today evening.

1. Sir, as you know well that the Solar Project was approved in 17th AGM held on 24th September 2019. For this project we received two quotations in which we approved the quotation received from M/s.Gogreen Ventures, Thane.

2. The total cost for this Project came to Rs.27,42,600/- in which Rs.7,32,000/- was deducted subject to subsidy received from MSEB, Maharashtra. Hence a total of Rs.20,10,600/- was the amount to be paid for this project.

3. As you know well that our Hill Crest is always running shortage of funds, hence a scheme was got approved to meet this in the said AGM. Members those who give contribution to this Solar Project Scheme will be given benefit in terms of interest better than nationalized banks. Accordingly, we got ~Rs.20 lakhs in 40 days time and hence we could achieve this Solar Project before the due date set by MSEB as 3rd November 2017. This scheme was circulated through door to door soon after the AGM was over and through whatsapp etc.

4. We the current Management Committee had assured all the investors that whatever contribution made by respective flat owners will be given back with maximum 3 Financial Calendar years ie. by March 2021 will be given back the entire contribution received from more than 30 members.

5. Out of 20.2 lakhs, Rs.7.5 lakhs were adjusted in Maintenance Charges with effect from October'2017 / April'2018 to 25 members which will go for 2-3 years i.e until March 2021.

6. About Rs.6 lakhs were distributed during October 2018. The balance amount of Rs.6.7 lakhs is yet to be distributed which I am planning to do so by the end of Financial year 2019-20 & 2020-21.

7. Now I will come to your question that when our Society had saved Rs.5 lakhs out of Rs.6 lakhs in common electricity bill why Maintenance Charges were increased from January 2019.

8. As it is ultra clear from the above that our Hill Crest Society has to clear the Solar investors until March 2021. This is possible from the contribution towards Maintenance Charges given by members. If everything goes well, the Management Committee may settle by end of FY. 2020-21.

9. Hence these investment are being settled either through lump sum or by Monthly outgoing Maintenance Charges, thus the Society need to wait till March 2021 (approx).

10. After that the increased Maintenance Charges of Rs.200/- will be waived as assured in the Special AGM held on 6th Jan 2019.

11. I assure you that the current Management Committee is executing each and every work to the satisfaction of the members. (e.g. (i) Conveyance Deed from Builder which was pending since formation of society, (ii) 7/12 for Hill Crest Society (iii) Change in Name in electric bill, water tax bill, property tax bill which are under progress (iv) Adjustment of MSEB Security deposit in next year electric bill (v) Housekeeping of society etc. etc.

12. Yes, there are some members those who doesn't understand / doesn't want to understand the effect of this Solar Project till now and trying to disturb the working of current Management Committee with some other members.

I hope that your doubt regarding funding on Solar Project and how the MC met and trying to sort out since its installation and the necessity in increase in Maintenance Charges etc.

I am grateful to you for having raised this query in whatsapp and extremely thankful to you for giving me an opportunity to explain you and other members.

Finally, I would sincerely request all the members to come forward as in our Society we have lot of highly educated, knowledge people. If we all come together and share our views for the betterment of our Society, one day our Hill Crest Society will be the one of the Best Society in Ghodbunder Road, Thane, Maharashtra.
