What better way to kick off a great 2012 than riding with your buddies!! Hope you'll come out New Year's Day dark and early for some great riding, great R12 kick-off and best of all some great times with your buddies. Time to ride off some of that holiday egg nog....or maybe just bring it with ya for pot luck dinner afterwards!
Got a 200k ACP Brevet and 100k Pop for your riding pleasure, so no excuses. Take a little HTFU if you need to ward off some of New Year's Eve playtime and come out to Dan's Shack. Plan to bring some kind of dish or dessert to share and if you'll let me know what you're bringing, I'll be better able to answer the "what do you need" question that will come up closer to time. I'll be there to get the hot things hot
and keep the cold things cold!
Here's also a great way to intro buddies to your sickness, I mean hobby, called randonneuring. Have 'em ride the 100k, then meet afterwards with you for the fun and story-telling. Both routes start/finish from Dan's House and here's some of the scoop as if you haven't heard it all before :)
Start/Finish: Dan's Shack, 2811 Hollywood Drive, Arlington, 76013. Keep in mind, his neighbors are pretty tolerant of all the cars blocking the streets NYD but they may be sleeping off a fun New Year's Eve, so keeping the hollering to a low-level is VERY appreciated...yes, I'll try to too!
