I have mapped out a 300K route beginning at Wayne's and going through Dripping Springs, New Braunfels, Lockhart, and Lytton Springs before returning via Barton Creek Blvd and our favorite hill to Wayne's. It is just over 300 kilometers in length. I was hoping for a 400K loop. Those of us who rode the Texas Stampede 1200 will know the route from Dripping Springs to Lockhart. Those interested in perusing the route and its profile can see it at www.bikely.com. Just search for New Braunfels.

Also, there is a 200K route which runs almost due north and south, starting from Wayne's and turning around in Briggs. Because I don't know how to enter an out and back route in bikely - maybe it can't be done, I have it posted as "Briggs 100K." Just search for Briggs. There are two versions, one the familiar way via 2244 and 620 to El Salido Parkway and the other via 360 and 2222 to demonstrate how little distance is saved by that shortcut.

Hi,

Just a reminder that tomorrow is the Johnson City 200k, spectacular jaunt through the rolling hills of West Austin.  The weather should be perfect with mild winds and a high of 67.  There is a bit of climbing on the ride, but there is some rest on the downhills.
