Well-made boot

The boots appear well-made; leather uppers and molded treads are clean, the seams are tight and the stitching is uniform. The sole is stiff, but the boots grip the ground well. They are comfortable, but will need breaking in. I ordered the 5.5 med width boot. I wear a 6 in a New Balance hiking boot and a 5.5 in an Ariat Terrain H2O so it was a guess. They offered free shipping and free return shipping and that decided my purchase. Every boot design is different in arch placement, heel and toe space, so shipping items back and forth can get expensive. This 5.5 was a bit snug, however, the arch was correct. When I removed the footpads the heel still fit and there was good room in the toe box and the ball of the foot. I exchanged the foot pads with a thinner Dr. Scholls. Once the boots are broken in I'll change back to the original pads.

This boot fits great. It did not take much time to break it in and it is super comfortable for all day outdoors wear.
