Reset auto-commit false to true after using it?

Hi there,

I was wondering if you need to set auto-commit back to "true" if you close/release a connection after using it? Does HikariCP set is back to auto-commit=true immediately after closing it or some other time? Or is it necessary to always set it back to true?
