HikariCP and XADataSource

Hi,

I've been using HikariCP for a number of years now with great success.  I now need to have my interactions with the databases it serves part of an XA transaction.  What is the best/right way to do this?

I saw this from a few years ago, https://groups.google.com/g/hikari-cp/c/WEWb7mDO-_Q/m/bB7SMcMRYYMJ, and the documentation makes this statement:

"Note XA data sources are not supported. XA requires a real transaction manager like bitronix."

I am using a real transaction manager, but if HikariCP doesn't support XA data sources, is there no way to make this work and I have no choice but to use something else?
