Dear Brothers & Sisters

Assalaamu Alaikkum wa Rahmathullaahi wa Barakaathu hu

Muharram 1437 started from Wednesday (14 Oct) as per the phases of the moon
which Noble Quraan says are the dates for the mankind and for Hajj (2:189).
Hijri Committee of India and also many countries (France, Libya, Egypt, Turkey,
USA )  started the New Year on the correct day. ALHUMDULILLAAH !!

But, Saudi Arabia's plight was pathetic !!  They  started it only from Thursday
and that too by their TV channels & Saudi Press Agency  altering their dates more than
once in a month !!!

They were in utter confusion from Dhul Qaidah as well. They ignored Allaah's
Sign - Solar Eclipse which occurred on Sunday 30th Dhul Qaidah (13 Sep).
They started Dhul Qaidah  wrongly on Sunday and ended it on Monday thereby
not only committed "Nassie" but dared also to ignore Allaah's Sign !!  They threw to
winds the Sharia rule that Solar eclipse marks the end of the month.NAUDUBILLAAH !

So Dhul Hijjah was not started on Monday (as per moon-phases) but on  Tuesday
(again committing "Nassie") .

From 16th Dhul Hijjah  (29 Sep) the dates started appearing differently on Makkah TV &
Medhina TV. The first one showing the correct date as per moon-phases, but the second
one a day less !!  We pointed out this erratic publishing of dates through mail.  But no actions
were taken.

From 25th Dhul Hijjah, both these channels as well as Saudi Press Agency started showing the
correct dates as per moon-phases and on TUESDAY ( 13 Oct ) the date was 30 which was
correct as per the Moon-phases.  But, instead of starting the new month after the date 30, they
prolonged the month for one more day and started the New Year only from Thursday.

Br. Khalid Shaukat who used to publish the dates followed by ISNA/FCNA on a daily
basis, started publishing the Muharram dates of ISNA/FCNA after 3 days !!
WHY THIS CONFUSION ???

Let this episode be an eye-opener for all countries including Saudi Arabia and also for ISNA/FCNA,
ICOP, ICOPUK etc so that in future, the Hijri months are started on the correct day as per the
moon-phases as directed in verse 2:189.

We once again request all to study the concept derived by Hijri Committee of India, from Noble
Qur'an & authentic hadees with regard to Hijri Calendar.

The concept is  based on "considering the Universal day in which the conjunction
takes place as the last day of the old month and the new month to start from Fajr
(03:00 am Makkah time)  of the following Universal day irrespective of the time of
Conjunction and/or Sunset-moonset difference at Makkah or elsewhere.

You may perhaps be aware that the same concept was followed by Saudi Arabia in their Original
Umml Qura till 1420H.

We request Saudi Arabian authorities and Scholars to switch back to this
concept so that all the Hijri months can be started on the correct day of the
week and all the dates will be in tandem with moon-phases (Noble Qur'aan 2:189).

May Almighty Allaah forgive all our errors, sins and fault and may HE, the Almighty provide
all of us with a place in Jannathul Firdouse. Aameen.

Wa Salaam
