Got a K70 v2 today, some Vengence RGB Memory and an M65 Keyboard today and came across the WP engine. I have installed it, run it and made sure that it is all ticked in the settings to integrate with iCue, but I cant seem to see anything in iCue to let it do the RGB with the music. Is there a setting or a lighting drop down I need or do I need to make a manual lighting effect?

Any wallpaper that is a "scene" will work with iCUE, but you need to check the 'Enable iCUE effects' on each one unless you click the 'Apply to all Wallpapers' button. Just remember if the effects of the wallpaper are subtle, i.e. not allot of movement or color change, your RGBs will seem to just stay put unless you stare at them to notice the tiny change.

For audio responsiveness you need to make sure the 'Audio Recording' option is set for the wallpaper itself and then in the main Wallpaper Engine Settings you need to make sure the proper device for the audio is chosen. I find the wallpapers that use the whole screen for audio visualization, like the Corsair-a-tron one, work the best with the RGBs.

Yes, I'm using iCUE reactive wall papers. Yes, the box is checked. Restarting WPE and iCUE does nothing to change the LEDs that don't light up. Disabling and re-enabling the plugin does not resolve the issue. Reboots make no difference. Fresh install of the OS and software made no difference.

That is on the developers of Wallpaper Engine as they are using our SDK to enable the feature. As you stated the Corsair collection works as it should proves that the feature is working correctly, but unfortunately it is pretty clear the wallpaper you want to use is the issue.

@fug I have made an open source project to showcase how you can make your own animated wallpaper engine in UE4: Live Animated 3D Desktop Wallpaper Maker [OPEN SOURCE] - Released Projects - Unreal Engine Forums

Hello, I am new to bazzite, and I see that bazzite should work with wallpaper engine, tried to install it using the links from documentation, but it failed since bazzite now uses plasma 6. Can someone teach me how to install wallpaper engine on bazzite now that it has plasma 6, thanks.

Then just take that file to our main OS, and dump it anywhere. Open the terminal in that location, and run rpm-ostree install mesa-libEGL-devel-24.0.8-1.fc40.x86_64.rpm.
Then just install the rpm for the wallpaper-plugin, and it SHOULD install the dependencies, without any errors!

Note that I used your Github tutorial on an Aurora machine and it works perfectly even in Wayland, so it should work fine on Fedora Kinoite / Aurora using your guide, just that bazzite seems to use modified packages for mesa.

The craft that clearly goes into the average Wallpaper Engine background is seriously impressive. Sure, you get the odd phoned-in effort or overtly creepy anime creation. In general, though, this app provides countless entrancing animated wallpapers that make it a pleasure to keep revisiting your desktop.

I'm trying to add a settings menu to let the user choose one of four backgrounds. I have everything working using SharedPreferences. The only problem is that the wallpaper does not update after the setting is changed in the settings menu. If you restart the app, the background will be updated with the last background selected, but it only works after the wallpaper is restarted (i.e., selecting a different wallpaper, and then reselecting this wallpaper).

I've narrowed the problem down to the fact that the value from the SharedPreference is only updated in the onCreateEngine() method. Once the wallpaper service is running, the onCreateEngine() method doesn't get called, so even though the value of the SharedPreference has been changed, it doesn't get updated in the wallpaper service.

My question is how do I restart the wallpaper so that the onCreateEngine() method gets called after a setting gets changed? Again, the SharedPreferences are working, since everything works after restart. I know I need to use the onsharedPreferenceChanged method, but I'm not sure where that should occur, or what code should be included in that method to restart the wallpaper engine.

Must be implemented to return a new instance of the wallpaper's engine. Note that multiple instances may be active at the same time, such as when the wallpaper is currently set as the active wallpaper and the user is in the wallpaper picker viewing a preview of it as well.

Hi, I have been asking this in Discord and I find it ineffective since no one answer my question there. I have wait like 3 day no response to my question so I came to this Community and ask my question. A bit disappointment for the discord group.

NEW: Use the free Android companion app to transfer your favorite wallpapers to your Android mobile device.

Wallpaper Engine aims to deliver an entertaining experience while using as few system resources as possible. You can choose to automatically pause or completely stop the wallpaper while using another application or playing fullscreen (including borderless windowed mode) to not distract or hinder you while playing a game or working. Many options to tweak quality and performance allow you to make Wallpaper Engine fit your computer perfectly. As a general rule of thumb, 3D, 2D and video based wallpapers will perform best, while websites and applications will require more resources from your system. Having a dedicated GPU is highly recommended, but not required.

Choose from over a million free wallpapers from the Steam Workshop with new wallpapers being uploaded every day! Can't find a wallpaper that fits your mood? Let your imagination go wild by using the Wallpaper Engine Editor to create your own animated wallpapers from images, videos, websites or applications. A large selection of presets and effects allow you to animate your own images and share them on the Steam Workshop or to just use them for yourself.
