Hey Everyone! Just a reminder that the second Ridgecrest Run and Ride Off-Road biathlon is this Saturday, 4 June at 7am! (check out the flyer)

I know it's an early start but we'll have registration from 6:30am-7am and we'll probably start the races a little after 7. It should be a nice day (fingers crossed), a little chilly on the start but perfect by the finish. For those of you who are unsure if you can finish both loops of the bike course, you can totally just do one loop along with the run. I'm really flexible for folks that wanna switch things up. The more the merrier. For timing though, I'm going to focus this year on the biathletes and teams doing the entire event. All others (including runners/bikers only) will fall under the "fun run/bike" category. And since the main goal of this event is FUN, I'm hoping to have a bunch of people in that category too!

I found a map of the bike course for anyone that wants to check it out: http://www.highsierracyclists.org/rides/mbtt.jpg. We'll have it marked really good on race day though. As Matt has said before, this is a very doable course that will be fun for beginners and fast for experts. All levels are encouraged to at least give one loop a try although the full biathlon is two loops (12 miles).

Speaking of timing, I still need a few volunteers to help with that and/or an aid station. Please let me know if you are interested. Email me at sar...@gmail.com.

And as always, let me know if you have any questions! I hope to see lots of you all on Saturday!!! Spread the word!

Sarah
