[Chandra Nelogal]

All,

Today I met HNR (H Nagabushan Rao), a teacher from NHS in Austin.   He didn't take any classes for us.  But he kind of knows our section.   

DVN (Chemistry) is the headmaster of the school now.

HNR is retired now and is part of a forum (NGO) called NHSForum.in.

They (nhsforum) conducted a funciton/event to felicitate all the retired teachers of NHS on June 21st of this year.  We went through a bunch of photos.  We saw CSB (Kannada), MKL (Our class teacher), CSP (Patil, Drawing), HKG (Hindi), BSR (Ramalinga Pandit - English in 8th standard).

Now, with the forum, they want to give back to the community by motivating the students and teachers of the NHS and some other schools.  Several alumni from different batches are working with the forum.  Also the forum is focusing on vocational training and other activities.

They want to start with NHS and surrounding schools and start improving.  

For folks in Bengaluru, this is a golden opportunity to give back to the community - that too none other than our own school.

See a photo of a few folks in Austin with HNR.  A few folks are our seniors and a couple of them are our juniors.

Sorry I did not identify the folks in the photo.

Starting from left to right 

Satish Gowda - student during early 80's.  Had passed out of the school before we entered.

Venu - One or two years junior to us.

Sadashiv Kallur - One or two years junior to us.  He is also a nephew of CSB (Kannada teacher).

Chakrapani Rao - 3 or 4 years senior to us.

HNR - Teacher.

Venkatesh Reddy - batch mate of Chakrapani Rao.

Myself

Roopa Rao - Two or 3 years senior to us.   Was part of the class with Anil Kumble.  Now married to Chakrapani Rao.
