Dear Sri,
Some people come into our lives and barely leave a trace, others leave a string of footprints etched upon our hearts, letting us know they are with us every step we take. You, my friend, have been stamping it all over our hearts with your charming unique style. Around 33 years ago, we all 10-year-olds tapped unknowingly and without a trace bonded as friends and that bond has grown into an inseparable one.
As the years passed by, our love for each other grew. You weren’t just a friend, as we became soulmates and the reason for many of our golden days were filled with happiness, love and laughter which you were a part of.
Life, sometimes pulls the rug from under our feet. Suddenly, we find ourselves divided in our quest for better lives and unable continue to be carefree the way were were in our School and college days. What a transformation life can become in the Road less traveled you have chosen. I mean, I always believed you will do something different and remember to have encouraged your writing ability as somewhere we knew you had the gift. Now with much pride we beam our heads to seeing your talent unfold and outshoned many of us in your unique abilities of writing. Your bhageeratha efforts in bringing us all together there's no words. That’s what real friends do. They are the glue that holds us together when we feel like we are falling apart. They are the anchor to keep us grounded when life has a tendency to blow us away. They are the wind beneath our wings, keeping us going when we feel like giving up.
Thank you for being a true friend. For sticking by us, for allowing us to be ourselves by lending shoulder when needed. Thank you for staying constant in a world full of change and chaos. And thank you for just being there when we need you.
It’s hard to put it into words just how much you mean to us, because words will never be enough. I know our lives wouldn’t be the same without you. We have walked so far, laughed so hard, and cried of tears together at times. We have climbed many hills, traveled many places and valleys. You wiped my tears when my mother died. You supported me when life had beaten me to the ground at that time to come-up against the moments of weakness.
On this day when you celebrate your birthday, just remember that you will be remembered for all the happy moments in our lives that we are now enjoying with this group as you have brought us these moments in uniting so many of us, giving us a reason to rejoice some old days. Without your effort, we would have been a small pond with few fishes, but now we are in a lake with so many variety of colorful fishes.
let our friendship shine. Have a blastfull birthday.
Your friend.
