Request terminate timeout doesn't kill the process

Hello everyone,

is it possible that scripts run longer than what's set in php fpm request_terminate_timeout?

because we've set request_terminate_timeout = 61s  and we monitor php-fpm status using https://github.com/hipages/php-fpm_exporter and we see that:

 - after reaching 60 seconds (php.ini limit) the script sends thousands of requests to sentry logging "Error: Maximum execution time of 60 seconds exceeded errors"

 - monitoring shows a process_request_duration of 200+ seconds

Any idea?
