Hello everyone!

Currently highlight.js project lacks bug tracking. We need to decide
where is the best place to do it. Any suggestions are welcome!

Until then everyone is welcome to post bugs and feature requests right
here to the group.

Hello,

Basically, github already has some primitive version of issue tracker. And if you are nit going to have full-featured issue tracking, I believe that it's more than enough. Otherwise I would like to propose redmine (if you are not concerning about your own server with RoR application on it) or even JIRA which is free (hosted version, or 10USD for installable version) for open source projects.

Sincerely yours,
me.

Here's a second vote in favor of GitHub's issue tracker. Since I don't
have in mind anything better I might just go with it.

While I indeed don't want another backend in my server's memory my main
concern is that I don't want to maintain any more systems by hand. So a
hosted solution is definitely better here.

No, thank you :-). I've had enough of it at my job to never want to use
it voluntarily :-).

Yes, it's dead simple indeed. But last time I was using it I found
more
close to the to-do list than to the real issue tracker. I guess it's
OK
when there are maximum 20 - 30 opened issues and no extra
requirements are needed (like issue statuses etc).

But as you are going to have community making most of the changes so
you'll be sitting and accepting/rejecting patches just like tzar ;))
then I
guess you'll need to have different statuses of issues (but probably
I'm
just trying to find an issue in the place where it's not).

In this case I also propose to look at pivotal tracker (1). It's
really as simple as
github's issue tracker, but yet powerful. I know that it has votes,
and categories
and different statuses (at least if my mind doesn't trick on me).

LOL! I have almost same feelings about JIRA. That (and ability to
extend and
improve) was the reason why I stuck with Redmine. :))

Oh, thanks! I'll look into it.

You are very welcome. I hope it will be the right tool - the tool that
you were looking for. :))
