Hi guys,

My problem is some of our clients use IE 8, so the highlight.js does not work with it.  (I have implemented 7.3, the functionality just doesn't work for some of our clients).

I realize it is December and 7.2 was released a couple months ago.  I have found a pre-built package of 7.3 on Ivan's website.

I am very new to Git.  I did try to pull down 7.2 from git and build it with both python 3.3 and 2.7 but recieved errors.

Is there a TRUSTED link of 7.2 pre-built somewhere?

Thank you!

Dillon

Hi!

- You can download the archive of version 7.2 here:
https://github.com/isagalaev/highlight.js/tags and build the package
according to the instructions located in docs/building-testing.rst

- Alternatively you can use the hosted version with "core" set of
languages at http://yandex.st/highlightjs/7.2/highlight.min.js

Does either of these work for you?

Ivan,

Thank you for the reply.

pointing me to the build document helped immensly.  That document was not in the 7.2 zip but was in the 7.3 zip.

I was able to build 7.2 with python 2.7, so all is good.

I've got a doublespacing issue in IE 8 now for my XML, but that is outside of the highlight JS I believe.

Thanks again for your time.!

Oh, sorry about that. I completely forgot that we moved docs under the
source tree only in 7.3, I though we had them there for a while already

Glad you had it worked for you in the end!
