Hi John, HPNC had a presentation by Sharif Abdal-Khallak at the April 14 meeting.  He showed plans he has from decades back when he proposed to build townhouses on his adjoining lot as well as BRA parcel.  PRC will discuss this at our May 21st meeting.

In the meantime, please let PRC know what ideas have emerged at BPDA for this site.  For example, please name any developer who has approached BPDA about 68 Bartlett St.

Finally, Highland Park residents have expressed strong concern that new development so close to iconic structures show respect and add to the streetscape accordingly. Here, we have Norfolk House, Spooner-Lambert House, Cox Building, First Church Roxbury.

Thanks,

Hi Jon,

We, the BPDA, did receive an inquiry; I was wondering if was prompted by some of your PRC outreach.

I am always appreciative of how well you know the neighborhood and your depth of spacial detail! We can confirm the zoning for the parcel and get that to you.

Hi John.  Site Plan?   people who live in the neighborhood know this lot and the vacant lot next to it.  Just curious:  has any developer approached BPDA or DND staff to inquire about this lot?
So I am not sure that a site plan of just the boundaries of the lot in context of the street and abutting lots is too useful at this early stage.

But you can confirm the zoning for that parcel.
Thanks

Hi Jon,

That sounds good. What would like to have for that meeting (eg a site plan, etc)?

Hi John,  The first opportunity to engage neighbors in that section of Highland Park will be afternoon of 4/14--HPNC has had this date for some time in an effort to have a weekend meeting for neighbors who have difficulty with weekday evening meetings.
Now, of course, we have session 2 of the E+ presentations set for that morning but that's OK

Hi Jon, Rodney, Ted,

Following up on the 68 Bartlett St parcel over in Elliot Sq.

Has the PRC reached out to any residents or abutters near 68 Bartlett Street; we have recieved an expression of interest?

When we next meet could spend a few minutes discussing a process for that parcel?

Thanks,

John
