Good morning all,
I'm wondering if there are any case managers at faith based institutions that currently use ProtoCall? My university is considering this as an option for after hours assistance and I've been tasked with getting more information, particularly from other faith based locations.

Thanks everyone!

Best,
Reilley

We use it at Illinois State University. I’m within housing so it’s frequently used as part of our duty for after-hours support of students. Primarily I’d say they’re the professional who can assess a student for safety where the housing staff isn’t trained/qualified to make that determination. They act as if they’re part of Student Counseling and can get an on-call staff member from Student Counseling to campus if need be, or can recommend transport to Housing staff or PD, or assess that the student is safe and get an agreement to walk in to SCS in the morning. I’ve also had them help a student calm down from an anxiety attack.

I don’t know of the potential issues involved with a faith based institution so I can’t speak to what conflicts might be present.
