Free Programs at Neighborhood House: Now Enrolling!!

 

The Family Center is offering a few upcoming classes with limited availability.  If you are interested in enrolling yourself or your children in any of the classes below please be in touch to reserve your space by replying to this email (meg...@nhwa.org) or calling (206)588-4900 ext. 620

 

Remember: All of our programs are free to anyone who wishes to attend. Please share this email with anyone who might be interested.

 

Science with Ann for 1st and 2nd graders:  

Who: Students going into 1st or 2nd grade in the Fall

What: Come learn about the environment, nature and the science of it all!

When: Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday from 1pm-3pm starting July 28th and ending August 6th

*12 Spaces available

 

Science with Ann for 3rd and 4th graders:

Who: Students going into 3rd or 4th grade in the Fall

What: Come learn about the environment, nature and the science of it all!

When: Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday from 1pm-3pm starting August 11th and ending August 27th

*12 spaces available

 

Sewing: Bib Making Workshop

Who: Adults, basic sewing skills will help but no sewing experience is required

What: Come learn how to make baby bibs for your child or to give as gifts.  Sewing machines and materials provided.

When: August 11th and 12th (Tuesday and Wednesday) from 1pm-3pm.

*8 spaces available; if you have a child in 3rd or 4th grade they can attend “Science with Ann” at the same time (see above).

 

Beginning and Advance Guitar

Who: All ages

What: Come learn how to play guitar.  Guitars are provided.

When will this class start? Anticipated start date at the end of September

When: Advanced students will meet on Tuesday’s from 6:30pm-7:15pm; Beginner students will meet on Thursday’s from 6:30pm-7:15pm

*If you have not attended the guitar class with Jesse before please plan to come on Thursday for an assessment as to whether or not you will be in the beginner or advanced class.

Science Lab with Seattle Public Library

Who: 0-12 year olds

What: Compete to build the tallest structure while learning about engineering

When: Thursday July 30th from 11am-12pm

*this is a drop in program, you do not need to reserve a space
