There is A LOT going on at Neighborhood House and in our community!! We’re hoping to see you at some of the following events!

Please join us THIS WEDNESDAY (July 8th) for a FREE outdoor community art event for children and families:
Neighborhood House will be hosting a FREE community art event this Wednesday evening from 4:30-6:30 for children and families. "The Makery", mobile art lab, will be here to run outdoor
art activities, such as, a community sidewalk chalk mural, painting with trucks, and weaving on a giant loom. We will also have t-shirts for tie-dye, as well as, face painting and henna. We will be giving away board games and serving refreshments. This event
is designed for 0-12 year olds and their families. "The Makery", mobile art lab, is an old ice cream truck converted into an art lab and will be in the parking lot behind Neighborhood House (for more info about “The Makery”:

*Children must be accompanied by an adult
*Games and t-shirts will be distributed on a first come first serve basis (one game/family & one t-shirt/child). Please bring your own t-shirt for tie-dye if possible. Adults are welcome to participate as well.
Bike Repairs at Neighborhood House High Point EVERY TUESDAY until September 1st
The BikeWorks BikeMobile will be here every Tuesday to help you with bike tune ups and repairs. Please swing by. All ages welcome!
Free Family Events Schedule at Neighborhood House High Point:
Please see attached flyer (“FC Summer Events”) for information about the special event we will be hosting this summer. Special events will include, our free outdoor art event this Wednesday, three science lab activities with Nathalie from the High Point Library, our annual “Healthy Families” event with resources, food, and field games, as well as a children’s concert with Nancy Stewart.
*All of these events are drop in programs and free!!
Looking for something to do with your 0-5 year olds?
Join us for “Art & Block” on Monday’s from 11-12:30 for free organized art activities or on Wednesday from 11-12:30 for “Play & Learn” to play and socialize. (See attached flyer: “Art and Block and Play and Learn Flyer 2015).
FREE Summer Camps and Art Classes for Children:
Neighborhood House High Point is partnering with the Nature Consortium to offer FREE summer youth programs. See attached flyer for more information: “ECO Art”. Space is limited and the programs are funded by an Seattle Housing Authority grant, therefore priority must be given to children living in SHA communities, extra spaces will be go to families on a first come first serve basis. Each program will run for 6 weeks, and families can sign up on for the weeks they wish to attend. For 8-11 year olds: FREE Art Classes Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 1pm-3pm starting June 20th until August 6th @ Neighborhood House High Point. FREE Art Classes with a science and nature based themes.
For 5-12 year olds: FREE Day Camp Monday-Friday from 9am-3pm with, an option for free childcare from 7am-5pm, starting July 20th until August 28th. The first three weeks will be at Neighborhood House High Point (July 20th – August 7th) and the last three weeks will be a Youngstown Cultural Arts Center (4408 Delridge Way SW; August 10th-28th). Each week will have a different theme based on Science, Nature, and Art.
Free events in the Commons Park:
Please see attached flyer about summer events in the Common’s Park (the park next to the Neighborhood House building which includes a playground, large open field, a community garden and a bee garden). Special events will include: outdoor plays by Green Stages, a family movie night, an Eid Celebration, National Night Out, Healthy Families Celebration, and the Puget Sound Beekeepers Association Kids Day.
This should help you keep your families busy this summer,
