Michael,

Do I need to get a starter from you?  And do I need to pay you for it?

Cheers,

No money necessary. I'm going to rack the starter beer tonight. I would probably make a starter of some sort to get it rocking a bit better especially if you are doing 10 gallons. I'm going to brew this weekend.

I would do prob just a week or so. I'd like a bit of activity still, truth be told. That same sour in the last beer is evident in the barrel so great for Belgians, not so good for Scottish beers.  Some strong yeast activity would probably blunt that a bit. That and probably a short-ish barrel time with freq sampling. I'll probably plan on Monday brewing myself.

Mason jar or something will work.  Work got crazy yesterday so I didn't get home till late last night. Going to rack it today pending no more emergencies.

If someone else can take my 5 gallons I'd be appreciative.  I've got a few things in the queue to brew.  If we can't fill the barrel without my 5, I'll make it this or next weekend.

I'm going to plan on brewing Monday, so I'll call you this afternoon Michael.  And was I responsible for 5 or 10?
