to HIFY
A Note from the Staff:

Just a reminder to folks that haven’t taken note, we’ve moved
upstairs! Our new suite # is 643! This past month has been exciting as
HIFY gears up to launch two new programs; one is a Peer Education
program at Aptos Middle School and the other is as part of a network
of community organizations whose aim is to connect HIV+ people to
care. As a part of this preparation we’ve been hiring, outreaching,
and training! If you’d like more information about either of the
programs, let us know!

Our trainings and workshops have taken a back seat but are still
around. If you’re looking for workshops and presentations please let
us know. Our capacity to do free trainings is very limited but we do
offer sliding scale!

HIFY is also excited to welcome two new interns to HIFY. Arai Buendia
recently made the move from Youth Advisory Board member to Health
Education Intern. Finn Gardiner joins us after working with such
awesome organizations as Larkin Street and City College and is doing
awesome work as our Media Arts Intern. We feel lucky to have such
great new members of our team!

Resource of the Month
HIV Treatment is Power
http://www.hivtreatmentispower.com/
As we’ve been updating our resources and gearing up for intensive HIV
work, we found many helpful websites. One that we found particularly
helpful for folks that are newly diagnosed with HIV and aren’t sure
where to go for resources and information in HIV Treatment is Power.
