HIFY STAFF NEWS

Hello, everyone. We at HIFY are pleased to present the October
Provider Email!
We’d like to welcome our two new Youth Engagement Specialists, Ray
Klauber and Jack DeJesus. We are excited about the energy and
enthusiasm for youth and their health that they will bring to our
work. We'd also like to welcome back Sheena Castrejon, who has
returned to us from maternity leave. (Congratulations, Sheena!)
Recently, we have started work on our two new health programs for
youth, Aptos TEACH and the Youth Outreach Worker (YOW) program. We
have recently hired an amazing group of people to work in our YOW
program. They will be visiting different communities in San Francisco
and Oakland to do peer outreach to HIV-positive youth. We have
recently visited Aptos Middle School to do sign-ups for the Aptos
TEACH program, and look forward to announcing our team shortly.

We have created a website for the Aptos TEACH program, which will
highlight our current events and resources for youth attending Aptos
Middle School. It can be reached at http://hify.org/aptos.

Also, we'd like to give a shout out to the Journey to Change
conference, which was sponsored by Casey Family Programs, Alameda
County Foster Youth Alliance & UC Berkeley's Center for Child and
Youth Policy. Thank you all for holding an amazing, dynamic
conference!
