We here at HIFY hope that the start to everyone’s New Year has been
good. 2010 will no doubt bring many obstacles, but we should always
remember the daily victories that we have. As always, we have a lot of
information and resources to share. They are all uploaded to the HIFY
Google page so if you have the time, please take a look. Please also
keep us in the loop on the resources that you guys know about so that
we can send out an e-mail that is as comprehensive as possible. Thanks
and have a good start to February!

HIFY Updates:
So January has been a great month for HIFY. We’ve been all over San
Francisco doing workshops around many different subjects. This month
alone, we’ve worked with San Francisco Juvenile Hall, Mission High
School, Aptos Middle School, CYWD, 3rd Street Clinic, New America
Media, Mission Neighborhood Centers, Girls Inc. and Berkeley City
Clinic! Everything from workshops on healthy relationships to holding
the Go Healthy! Series, we’ve been doing our best to make sure youth
and providers are getting the information they need to help our
communities become healthier! Remember that we are always looking for
new groups to connect with and do workshops for so please contact us
if you have a group in mind. In addition to our Go Healthy! Series, we
have Digital Storytelling workshops and tailor workshops to meet the
needs of different communities. Our staff is also in the process of
translating the Go Healthy! Series into Spanish and will be able to
hold the workshops for monolingual Spanish speakers soon!
We hope that everything is flowing just as smoothly with your programs
and schools and that 2010 has gotten off to a great start for you
guys.

HIFY House Campaign!
HIFY is turning 18 this year and to celebrate and push towards the
future, HIFY is starting a campaign to open a new HIFY house!! We call
it the Build a HIFY House Project. In this fundraising project, we’re
asking for more than your money, we’re asking for your time, your
voice, and your participation.
As a community organization, we need to get rooted in our community.
The first step, would be to find a house in a SF neighborhood where we
could dig our roots in and kick off for the next decade of helping to
improve youth health around the world.
There are many ways to get involved. Donate money. Donate time
(volunteer). Email someone you know about the work that HIFY does.
Subscribe to the blog. Let us know what you think about your community
and our services.
It's our 18th Birthday and it's time to celebrate and move out!
