VABS is also in the cloud now. Please go to cdmhub.org and request to join the VABS group to use the code. Please let me know any of your questions. Till now, all our major codes, VABS, GEBT, VAMUCH are in the cloud. Your feedbacks are greatly appreciated.

hello sir,

I have now installed Ansys 13 in my system and interface of ansys 13 with VAMUCH interface. 

I have generated the 2D and 3D unit cell. The shape of the reinforcement phase / second phase is either elliptical or it can be circular/ spherical. and the alignment remains in the longitudinal direction of the unit cell. 

Sir, can it be possible to change the shape of the reinforcement from spherical in 3D unit cell to either elliptical disc or in the shape of cylinder. in case of cylinder I want to vary the L/d ratio.

I have searched through all the possible options available in the interface but cant find.

sir. if possible then kindly mail the options by which we can be able to change the shape of the reinforcement.

Yes. It is possible. Please use custom cells instead. And also please the questions through cdmHUB vamuch group so that Dr. Zheng Ye who developed the interface can address your questions more adequately. You can ask your questions anonymously if you don’t want your name to be disclosed.

For 2D unit cell case, we have imbeded the option to creat a elliptical shape with Ellipse Ratio. For 3D unit cell, we don't have ellipsoid option but as Dr. Yu said you can always create your own unit cell and use other funcitons in the interface to do the homogenization analysis.
