Dear All,

You received this email because you showed interested in VABS. If you
don't want to be on the list, please let me know. If you are still
interested in VABS, please read on.

Since release of VABS III last summer, we made a few enhancements to
VABS in the past year:

1.Thermoelastic modeling capability to capture the effects due to
temperature and moisture;

2. Dynamic link libraries (DLLs). Now VABS can be used as both a
standalone application or callable libraries. It is straightforward
to integrate VABS into other environments. It is shown that calling
libraries can be much faster than calling the executable;

3. Updated transformation into the Timoshenko model from the
asymptotic energy. A new perturbation method is developed to capture
the effects due to initial curvatures/twist during the
transformation. The prediction for Timoshenko stiffness is generally
improved, even for some prismatic beams. Thanks due to Dr. Jimmy Ho
of NASA Ames Research Center for verifying the derivation of the new
pertubation method.

Please let me know if you want to try VABS 3.2. Thanks a lot for your
help in constantly improving the code.
