We use 100% pure wool from local farmers in the Maule Region of Chile. The sheep are non intensively farmed, naturally organically raised living wholesome lives. Made in a natural and sustainable way using age old techniques. A high quality fibre that offers great flexibility and strength allowing you to create excellent finished products.
Our handmade yarn is made in batches of 1 kilogram. We make it by hand, using traditional techniques that limit us to small batches. The colours are hand painted and uniquely individual to that batch. Whilst we can try and make similar colours they will never be the same after the batch sells.
The yarn is hand spun so there will be a little natural variation and the resulting yard will be different to factory produced yarns and fibres. In general the wool will be US grade 5 , around a 12-15 knit gauge, 8-11 crotchet gauge, recommended for us with needles between 9 and 11 or 5.5mm to 8mm.

Our products are natural so they may differ in appearance and shape with each individual product. Please remember you are buying a product which is handmade in rural Chile and therefore the finished product will differ to machine and factory products that you may be used to.
We select the best materials and products from Chile and especially from Constitucion and the Maule region. Providing the world access to these special products normally only enjoyed by locals. These products come from the heart of Chile often handmade or hand processed showing the care and devotion to producing good finished products.

We endeavour to have all our colours available at all times however since this is a handmade craft product where we only produce 10 of each colour sometimes demand exceeds supply. In cases where we do not have enough of the colour selected available we will send you an email explaining. At that point you can pick another colour in stock or you can choose a full refund instead.
